2010 The foundation year
On November 13, 2010, the first Guangdong Aluminum Processing Technology (International) Seminar was initiated by Lu Jiyan, Chairman of the Aluminum Processing Professional Committee of Guangdong Nonferrous Metals Society. At the same time, this seminar officially announced the establishment of the Aluminum Processing Professional Committee of Guangdong Nonferrous Metals Society and held a grand unveiling ceremony.
The first seminar was held in Dali, Nanhai, Guangdong, which can effectively utilize the aluminum processing industry cluster resources in Nanhai, which has an early start, rapid development, high industrial agglomeration, and a concentration of well-known enterprises and brands. Its successful convening laid the foundation for future seminars and provided a new, multi-angle, open communication platform for the development of the aluminum processing industry and an opportunity to promote close cooperation between enterprises.
2011 The Starting Year
On December 3, 2011, the 2nd Guangdong Aluminum Processing Technology (International) Seminar was held. In this seminar, the influence of the conference was further enhanced, and industry elites from all over the country and abroad came to attend. Compared with the first seminar, this session added several new thematic agendas that have a profound impact on the development of the seminar.
Among them, the conference set up a corporate exhibition area for the first time, providing aluminum processing companies with opportunities to display products and promote business cooperation; the conference organized corporate visits for the first time, and the companies visited were all aluminum profile manufacturers with high influence and popularity in the industry. The participation of powerful companies in the fields of auxiliary materials, chemicals, machinery and equipment in the following sessions has continuously enriched the diversity of visiting companies and reflected the development vitality of Guangdong aluminum processing companies.
The improvement of the agenda of the second seminar and the improvement of the professionalism of the conference have laid a solid foundation for the leap of the third seminar.
2012 Leap Year
On December 1, 2012, the 3rd Guangdong Aluminum Processing Technology (International) Seminar was held. The participants of this seminar came from mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Italy, Germany, the United States, Japan, India and other countries. The number of participants exceeded 1,000 for the first time, achieving a leap-forward growth, and the influence of the conference was further enhanced. The number of indicators such as the release of new products and new technologies, corporate exhibitions, special reports, and paper collection far exceeded the second session, and the attention of the seminar reached an unprecedented height.
For the first time, this seminar added a special meeting of "Expert Face-to-Face Q&A". 18 industry experts from different fields of the upstream and downstream industrial chain of aluminum processing gathered together to answer the difficulties and confusions encountered by enterprise technicians in the actual production process and provide feasible technical solutions.
The third seminar's main spirit of improving "quality" without reducing "quantity", based on industry services, and sharing and disseminating industry technologies was highly recognized and praised by the participants. 2013 Year of Development
On November 30, 2013, the 4th Guangdong Aluminum Processing Technology (International) Seminar continued the success of the previous session, with more than 1,500 participants. The proportion of foreign participants increased, including Italy, Germany, Finland, the United States, Japan and other countries. Domestic participants basically covered all provinces and regions in the country, and some regions even participated in the meeting in groups.
This seminar attracted a group of special "guests" due to the professional technical discussions and advanced and forward-looking new thinking of the conference. They are experts and scholars from scientific research institutions such as the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Guangdong Nonferrous Metals Research Institute, Beijing University of Science and Technology, Shenzhen University, and Guangdong University of Technology. From the perspective of the structure of the participants, this seminar not only attracted the participation of many domestic scientific research institutions, but also attracted the participation of many international professional and technical personnel. The technical exchanges between China and the world have become closer and more frequent, and the quality of the technical discussions of the conference has been further improved.
2014 Year of Growth
On November 15, 2014, the 5th Guangdong Aluminum Processing Technology (International) Seminar was held at the Nanhai Jiasigao Hotel for the first time. The number of participants in this seminar exceeded 1,800, and continued to maintain an upward trend. Different from previous sessions, the exhibition scale and participating enterprises of this seminar have increased significantly, and the exhibition venue facilities and exhibition hall functions have been further improved. More than 60 aluminum processing companies attended the meeting to display their new technologies and flagship products.
In terms of technical special seminars, it has developed from the initial four major topics to eight major topics, including new product release special session, auxiliary materials/testing and management special topic, melting and heat treatment special topic, processing special topic, mold special topic, environmental protection and energy saving special topic, surface treatment special topic, and expert face-to-face Q&A. The seminar has built a professional communication and learning platform for the industry's technical needs with a more sensitive touch, a higher perspective, a wider field of vision, and a more comprehensive coverage of topics.
The designated journal of this seminar has been changed to "Aluminum Profile Special Issue", and in conjunction with the online media of Aluminum Plus Network (formerly "Aluminum Doctor Network"), a closer online and offline publicity matrix has been fully developed. At this point, the seminar has truly become an annual event for the aluminum processing industry that integrates corporate image display, technical exchanges, product launches, and visits and learning.
2015 Breakthrough Year
On November 14, 2015, the 6th Guangdong Aluminum Processing Technology (International) Seminar was held as scheduled. From 2010 to 2015, the industry influence of the aluminum processing seminar has gradually increased. The number of participants in this session has exceeded 2,000, and more than 630 companies have participated, making it the leading industry event in the aluminum processing industry.
Since its inception, the seminar has been based in China while also continuously expanding its international influence. In 2015, the development of China's aluminum industry is still exploring under the new normal. Foreign development experience and cutting-edge technology are the "medicine" urgently needed by the industry to break the bottleneck. Therefore, in addition to retaining a number of traditional agendas, the seminar has added a "face-to-face exchange meeting of foreign enterprise experts" and specially invited top foreign experts to jointly discuss new applications and new trends in international technology development, truly reflecting the momentum of keeping pace with the times.

2016 Year of Consolidation
On November 12, 2016, the 7th Guangdong Aluminum Processing Technology (International) Seminar was grandly opened. The number of participants in this seminar increased slightly, with more than 2,100 people attending. The proportion of senior managers from scientific research institutions/universities and enterprises increased. Friends from the United States, Japan, Italy, Austria, Germany, Malaysia, Australia and other countries attended the seminar. The holding of the seminar has attracted extensive and high attention from people from all walks of life in the aluminum processing industry and friendly countries.
The theme of this seminar is "Innovation, Promotion, and Transformation". The government leaders, industry authorities, and technical experts attending the meeting elaborated on the development status, shortcomings, opportunities and challenges of the aluminum processing industry at the national, Guangdong, and Nanhai levels at the opening ceremony, emphasizing that transformation, innovation, and promotion are the development priorities for the aluminum processing industry and enterprises to further enhance their competitiveness.
